Unfortunately there's nothing either can really do to make the P2 be P3, but the name of the game is being relevant enough with schools that are important enough that you don't get left out of the party, even if you're sort of a second class citizen. Beats the situation the G5 would be in.

sec and big 10 will break off.

it will destroy acc and big 12 tv money. networks won't want to pay ridiculous money for their streaming rights.they will be closer to g5 than they will p2.

And that's the big gun they have to our heads. Everyone can clearly see the separation already. But making it official with these contracts would be a big deal to mark the ACC and Big 12 as second tier. The threat here is accept this offer or we leave and you're worse off.

Heck if that is the Cade then USF is already set in the AAC. Might as well dominate the AAC and continue growing the fan support. Plenty of other programs will survive if SEC & Big Ten run away.  College sports will be more pure without them anyway

once they realize they can take all the revenue, they will split off completely. this is just a giant first step to that happening.

That's all we can do.  Doesn't change much for us as we're on the bottom anyway.   But, it will be more difficult to dominate, even in the lower division due to revenue disparity and the continued erosion of our value.  Anyway, what is ND's cut currently?

If the SEC and B1G breakoff, they will take some of the B12 and ACC too.  Likely a move to create a heightened level of dissatisfaction for the M2.  IMO that'll drive ND to join the breakaway.  Then when they are separated, they won't have to share any of the money with the teams left behind.

Who cares what they want. Big12/ACC alliance will be more entertaining than what they have going with their 3 yards & clouds of dust lol. ACC/Big12 will control college hoops and create their own tournament

Hah that would be funny.  I'm for all out war.

Maybe we should @Fold FB Invest in BB at that point?

All we can do is beat the teams on our schedule as much as possible until if we are lucky enough to get another p1-p4 9th invite before it all burns to the ground. The nil deals, insane TV money, and the covid transfer portal really ruined college football . Hopefully we won't be seeing 7/8/9 year xxxxxxxxx super seniors anymore.  After 6 seasons you should be done no exceptions. That gives you a redshirt and medical redshirt. You should get one free transfer but you burn one of your redshirt years to play and if you transfer more than once you sit out a year and burn a redshirt year. You should only get 6 college years including redshirt period.  The transfer portal needs to be adjusted becauae it went off the rails to with the covid inspired infinite years of eligibility. If student athletes get nil money them then should be forced to pay for everything at the university tuition, books, lab fees, computers, coaching charges,  gym charges, Strength coach charges, meal charges, dietician charges, housing charges,  and travel charges. If they wanted to be treated as a student athlete and not take nil money then you get it all for free. Last but not least you should only be able to sign an nil with only one school ever. So if you took nil at your first college program then you are bot eligible to get money from any other college. If any student sthlete is getting money it should come directly from the TV contracts and the ncaa based on ticket sales and TV ratings on the team you play for. Fans and boosters should  not be able to buy players with the nil.
