I keep my checklist handy:

$3m locker room
$22m IPF
$340m FB Center (2026) + OCS (2027)
#11 TV market in the US
#1 HS recruiting state
AAU member

And of course, the FB bowl win (from a previous 1-11) and right now MBB (speaking for itself).

I deputize everyone on this board to share all the positives of USF to as many people as you possibly can. Changes are coming, and we want to make sure our name is out there.

Yes exactly!! To tell you the truth, this thread kept my spirits going during all those terrible years USF went through. Now that USF has been winning it seems a lot of these speculations are not that far from reality now than they were before lol.

USF football winning bowl game against ACC school last season. Check

USF becoming an AAU member. Check

USF OCS approval. Check

USF Mens hoops winning. Check

USF becoming one of the top conference realignment candidates for a power conference invite. Check

So many positives have been happening so it is great to spread the gospel.

Honestly, I'm cool with getting in to any of B1G (obviously), SEC (obviously), Big 12, or ACC. But getting into the B1G ahead of some of the other Florida schools that would never be able to rationalize it in their minds would be astoundingly hilarious, so I'm pulling for that most of all.

There are certainly rational points in our favor depending on how big a risk that the B1G would want to take to have a footprint in the Southeast.

Some of you are setting yourselves up for a real let down if you actually think the big 10 is interested in usf. There's zero chance of that happening. Our only chances of escaping complete irrelevance are either joining a decimated acc or some reformed pac with mostly western schools.

Hey you are the one that's always saying we should end football, right?

Let's say one of two things happen:

Big 10 Presidents stick to wanting AAU or FSU goes to SEC.

Big 10 wants into Florida.

USF at a 50% payout that builds over time may be the move.

USF and Miami may be the move.

ACC GOR stands, Big10 wants in now, USF may be the move.

Here is where I think we will end up (under the assumption we make a move):

ACC 45%

Big 12 30%

Big 10 20%

SEC 5%

Big 10 is down the list, but it is very much in play.

Think he was just pissed off & embarrassed by USF performance in football and being in the AAC. Football is back to winning & USF will be in a power conference. Then all will be good & forgiven.

By the way, the SEC, which is an extreme longshot, would be a scenario like this:

ACC shatters. Big 10 takes FSU and Miami.

Big 12 looking at USF, and SEC takes USF to block Big 12, as they don't want to be behind both Big 12 and Big 10 in Florida.

That is the most unlikely scenario, but the chances are greater than 0%.
