I’d trim that down to 16. Lose UNT, Navy, Rice, and Charlotte. Move Tulsa to the west and UTSA to the east.

Agree...I would add Airforce for west and for east App State.

So, let's look at last season's football records to get a feel for what that could develop into...

Stanford, Cal, Oregon State and Washington State don't have too many options after being left behind, but it's clear which school will drive the conversation to a conclusion.

I would love for this to happen. This in my opinion would be a Power 5 conference ( or verry close to one). Stanford, Cal, WSU, OSU, San Diego State, SMU, Memphis, Tulane, Boise State, Navy and USF would be an exciting conference to be a part of in my opinion.

the problem is that no matter how much anyone thinks this a Power 5 conference, the only ones that matter are those doing the approving...........

Out of all the stuff that's been floated, I think the above scenario looks to be the most reasonable.

Sadly thats true. And if not an auto bid league, that makes it even tougher for us to get to the playoffs. Thats the worst possible outcome for us.

I just can't see Stanford sharing a conference with teams that are not at a minimum R1 institutes.  Of course concessions will have to be made for the PAC to survive.

What about the exorbitant exit fees for SDSU, Boise State, and Fresno State for 2024? He didn’t address that issue. He either doesn’t know about it or thinks it’ll otherwise get addressed.
