And here's the loophole that FSU needs.

Florida State has been clamoring about leaving the ACC for awhile now, but one high-profile lawyer has a scorched-earth idea.

Probably best that college football start over on the conferences and make them all more regional. Can’t wait un

Baring any last minute surprises, OrWa leaving all but guarantees the AZ schools and Utah to the Big 12, leaving only a PAC 4. Stanford and Cal are ACC type schools, Oregon State and WSU? Not so much. Those are MWC schools.

If those to go ACC then almost assured that SMU, Tulane, and other western schools are going with them

All this happening today and the ACC just sits and watches because of their GOR.   The B12 grows ever larger and so does the BIG if true.  But the BIG is looking to add legacy schools as is their MO.   Meanwhile what of the SEC?  Are they getting in on the expansion arms race?  Exciting.

So as I was saying:

You could make a conference work with 12 schools. 6 west 6 east. Just limit the play between the 2 divisions.

Cal

Stanford

Oregon State

WSU

SDSU

UNLV

SMU

Memphis

UConn (or Temple)

USF

Tulane

ECU (or whoever)

Your Olympic teams make 1 trip west, and play 2 of the schools, they host 2 of the schools, when they make their trip east. Then everyone meets in the conference tournaments, which each rotate east and west.

That’s not a terrible conference

Replace ECU with Temple and you have yourself a deal!

NY6 games, winning those, the championship stunt and building a brand that inserted itself into the national discussion helped get them noticed and promoted.

Who did they beat to get to that NY6 games? Cupcakes mostly so, yep, beat the cupcakes and it gives you a chance. Lose to them and you become, well, USF.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
