More stuff from Cox:

If Big 12 does go kerplunk, will be interesting to see what secondary schools go where, as a tagalong with their sister state schools, or to American or , Mountain West.  Says Iowa State would most likely end up in the  American.  Also does Group of 5 become new college division or does CFP expand to 8?

Not sure that it will mean anything ultimately, but it's nice to get a specific mention and kudos.

EDIT: However things shake out, we can at least take the experience of this process with us and learn from it. So long as conferences exist, expansion will remain a topic of discussion and even if we don't get in the Big XII I think we'all be in a better position next time the topic comes up.

They will be announcing Monday that this year's AAC Champion will be in the B12 next year.

Ummm no sorry. I don't think we want any school with Iowa in the name in the conference. I'm sure their fans would love to travel to Tampa, but what Cedar Rapids offer our fans? Tornadoes and ice storms?

Yeah and unfortunately these schools only are somewhat competitive because of the conference and not their geographic location. Without the Big 12 their footbally programs would be terrible.
