I love this UC hate:

Cincinnati 3-2 (0-2 AAC) Lost 45-20 vs. South Florida

The consideration of Cincinnati for expansion is a complete joke and this loss is the proof. This is a commuter school which is located in the No.34 television market and has been humiliated for two consecutive weeks at home by conference opponents. Their main rival is Miami (OH), and they struggled against FCS opponent UT Martin. Literally, the only reason they are in serious consideration is because they are close to West Virginia. If South Florida doesn’t replace Cincinnati as a top school in expansion considerations, then kiss the Big 12 Conference goodbye.

If Texas is trying to steal Herman from Houston, then Houston can forget about UT support for them as an expansion candidate.  Houston can't afford Herman and all the other spending they are doing without getting some P5 money.  If Texas can stop that from happening, then Houston is going to have to cut back and Herman will move on for more money (at least he is more likely to).

Go Bulls!

Looks like a UC student slept with this guy's girlfriend. Hilarious.

There's a lot of talk about Texas going after Tom Herman. Houston in the Big 12 would make that a lot harder.

People thought Texas was good because they beat Notre Dame.  Except the fact that Notre Dame was overrated to begin the season.  ND and Tex are now both 2 -3.  Only by name brand was the reason ND was ranked top 10 preseason.

Your post reminds me of Buddy the elf going into the NYC dinner and saying "you did it! Congratulations on making the best coffee in the world"

The expansion candidates aren't the only one waiting on the Big 12. Because scheduling is going to get much tougher in the future,  more P5 teams will help. Also, I may be in the minority here but I don't like the idea of companies having so much control over public institutions. I think a possible solution may exist in emerging technologies that will enable conferences and/or schools to cut out the media middle men and broadcast their own games.

Quote

Big 12 presidents are mired in a perpetual expansion debate, and some ACC athletic directors would like to delay their scheduling vote until the Big 12 resolves its future, perhaps later this month. The theory there is that a larger Big 12 would grow the pool of potential Power Five opponents.

But waiting on America’s most dysfunctional conference, the Big 12, is no way for the ACC to conduct business. Besides, two more Big 12 teams wouldn’t make ACC non-league scheduling that much easier.
