Conference realignment "Rumors" "tweets" "etc"

It's a good question. We see the media identifying UH as an inevitable candidate because it's currently good in football and (apparently) has UT's support, but there's a kind of recency bias and laziness also running rampant there. If UH were bad in football, the flaws of inviting still another Texas school into the conference would be even more obvious than they are now.

It will interesting to see what happens. I for one think Houston does not get added. Texas doesn't need them to build in Houston. Texas will put a campus there if it truly wants to. Houston is one realignment to late for the Big 12 and the Pac-12 will never add them with those Academics.

I'm not Mormom and quite frankly not even sympathetic to Mormonism, but I hope BYU stands by its convictions. If that means expansion gets tabled, so be it.

Curiously, would you Bulls add BYU to the conference (the American or the B12)?

But remember in 1978 God changed his mind and spoke directly to the current head of the church and they changed their rules to allow African Americans to become elders. So it can happen.

I'd add BYU to the American, but not B12

Which is what I thought.  When you have 10 people with competing interests making a decision like this, there has to quid pro quo if you want to get anything done.

You want Houston?  I want UC and UCONN.  Let's make a deal.  BYU is not playing along?  Forget the whole thing.
