I think we should also look at taking NIU and Ohio from the MAC, and LaTech from the Sun Belt... basically build a new conference from the best misfits in the east and south... hit 16 teams and just put all of this realignment crap behind us.

My hope was that they go to 8 team playoff. Give the 5 1 each, give Mega16 vs Mt16 1, then the last 2 could go to top 5 conf at-large.

#2 seed 2nd highest rated conf. champ-vs- #7 At Large Big 5 Conf.

#3 seed etc..-vs- #6 At Large Big 5 conf.

I could see some hybrid form of going Indy for football. UConn, Cincy, Temple, USF, Navy and a couple of other schools can do a scheduling arrangement and sell the TV games each year. No strings attached and anyone can leave at anytime. Try to see if another conference will take us for other sports with a low buyout. Just a thought.
