It happend naturally from the moment both teams were in a conference. Did every one push for it? You best because it was good for business. And guess what if we do get in a conference with them in the future it will happen again. Why? Because we hate each other and it generated money. To say USF should have done otherwise was impossible.

I am not going to contend each point since it seems bogus to argue against the fact that I was saying that I was wrong against you making points which may show I might have been right.  How about I say "I should have taken Puc's point more seriously".

I refer back to the original post. 🙃  Just be sure to skip over the "revered" one as we need to keep you on task.

Of course the rivalry was pumped up…by both schools…and the conference. It was not a USF thing all parties were involved. It actually made money for all parties involved.

It was smart.  If we both had the same heat as that huge game for the conference a few years back, it would have become a known commodity.

Absolutely…we did have that heat for one game and it produced the most watched game in G5 history and third highest game that year.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.  We are a spread football team because of the types of players we can and cannot get. UCF understood this and our presidents did not. We made sexy hires that did not fit our culture and we paid for it.  But lets be honest here. UCF going to the new Big 12 is not the doom and gloom it once was without Okie an Texas.

It’s about $13 mil a year more doom and gloom though.

Didn’t UCF have to build a stadium because the citrus bowl was being rebuilt?

It may be more but will it be $13 million when they renegotiate?  Without Oklahoma and Texas this conference has no star power of TV drawing audience.
