It’s super easy to have tons of success at all of the programs you have never once stayed at or had any success at

Huh?  Its like you are speaking Japanese.  That doesnt even make sense.

He will have more time because they are deep into failing, no one honestly has expectations of their national return and he has an actual and natural connection to the program.

I think he has a good chance to turn it around with times.  Seems like a complete rebuild there.

But who cares, Im not a Nebraska fan.

You think that if he stayed here that would have been his first time being successful anywhere. I guess it’s possible but given his track record doesn’t seem likely. It’s easy to say all the things you would have done differently had you made different decisions but it’s much harder to actually be successful at the decisions you have actually made. CwT has coached many places for many years, exactly one season was even close to of note but I am sure that had he stayed here that of course would have been the second one and far more glorious than all of the others.

I don’t particularly care but I believe they probably have a fairly low ceiling; why would anyone intentionally ever go to Nebraska?

I hope this means we can hire Kendall Briles as our next Head Coach.

Tags left us for bigger opportunities.  Probably should have stayed at Oregon.  FSU was wrong place at the wrong time....and he was not a good enough coach to overcome the pressures of an FSU type job.

They were a big time program at one time, kind of like Miami.  There is no reason that both programs cant be really good again at some point.  Nebraska has a history and are the only game in town.  Everything revolves around Nebraska football in that state kind of like Kentucky basketball.  That counts for something.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
