Seems like maybe he does. So am I to understand, that besides CCS ridiculous buyout, by keeping him this season we also gave him an additional $2.5 million on top of what we were already on the hook for? 

If that is true, it sure makes Kelly look really bad since he allowed CCS to be "retained".

With a reasonable contract, the hire would be looked on as having turned out poorly but was understandable, a coach that wasn't very good but came subsidized so didn't cost us much which made it worth the gamble and we got rid of him. But that's not how it went down.

With the Harlan contract it is absolutely ruinous. And $2.5 mill retention bonus?? WTF???? We grossly overpaid and contracted too long. Good job sticking it to an employer at a job you couldn't wait to get out of Harlan.

So besides the $2.5 million retention bonus AND the nearly fully guaranteed buyout in this side contract with the USF foundation, what else is there that we don't know about?
