Shane McClanahan pitched Bowling Green to a 3-2 win over Dayton. In his longest start as a pro, the lefty struck out a career-high nine in five scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and a walk.

Good outing, but he needs to go longer.  5 innings isn't enough...that was his problem at USF.  He needs to be a 7 inning guy or he will end up being a bullpen arm imo

He threw 74 pitches in 5 innings.  Coaches decision to remove him and I'm sure it has to do with early in the year pitch counts and the fact that they are not going to wear down 1st round pick arm in A Ball.  9 Ks vs. 1 BB in those 5 innings.  We wish we had his 5 innings a week back .......

8.2 innings for the bullpen to manage in that other start... Those were also the days...

How what is related?  2 out of his 3 starts are quality starts.   He sucked the other start.  But hell, it takes weeks to get 2 quality starts from our staff this year

It's cute how double b couldn't wait for him to have a bad start so he could post it here and then "Like" any post that points out he had a bad start .....   SM must have really messed with the dude's head somehow, someway
