Polk had ACL surgery and his knee wasn't right last season.  He injured it late in his redshirt season.  I mean they talked about it several times during the spring because people hoped he'd play last season while Strong actually indicated he was not rushing him back and he was likely not going to be ready in time to play this season.  None of these things I wrote about is a big secret.

And Taggart ruined Jimmy Bayes

How did Taggart ruin Bayes? Not being smart but legitimately asking.

Johnson originally committed to Taggart and Strong honored the commitment.  I wouldn't exactly call him a Strong recruit... he more or less got stuck with him.  He also is undersized and slow.

i'm not really surprised by this. As stated, he wasn't one of strongs guys and was beat out by an undersized true Freshman. That screams career special teams player.

Johnson is a CCS commit and didn't even visit USF until after CWT departed and didn't commit until February 1st.  He did not have an offer from CWT.  People need to stop trying to spin this back on CWT.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Robert E Lee linebacker Keirston Johnson  took an official visit to Tampa over the weekend to visit the Bulls. South Florida jumped into Johnson's recruitment with an offer recently.

Johnson said he had a blast on his visit.

"It was great I love it in Tampa," he said.

The South Florida coaches made a strong push especially at a need position like linebacker.

"The coaches told me that I fit the program very well and they told me a lot of great things about USF," he said.

New receivers coach Charlie Williams is leading the recruitment for Johnson. Tulane, UCF and FAU are in the mix for Johnson as well as the Bulls. He is scheduled to visit UCF this coming weekend.

Nope he didn't have an offer until January (CWT left in December) and didn't visit USF until late January.  Also he did not commit to USF until February

his timeline says he received an offer in March of 2016 and never visited the campus, officially or unofficially while visiting numerous other schools. Its almost like he just didn't like what the other schools had to offer and took ours.

Hooray. The debate over whether the old coach or the new coach is responsible for a signing. Always a TBP staple.

Camp A) New coach upheld previous coach's offer for a kid.

Camp B) New coach is solely responsible for the signing.

If the kid is any good, he comes from Camp A and xCWT (or xCJL before xCSH).

If the kid sucks, he comes from Camp B and CCS (or xCSH).

Can there be a camp C- where recruiting is a crap shoot and some kids just don't translate well to D1 football regardless of who brings them in?
