went there last year, proximity, and doomsday naysayerism ......I don't care where we go.  Gainesville and Deland give me a shot at going to a game

USF didn't place a bid to host. The Bulls wouldn't have hosted even if you won the AAC tourney.

Our RPI is currently 19...i would think we go to Deland, JU goes to Tally and FAU goes to Gainesville as the 2 seeds...that makes too much sense though.

Deland seems like a great spot for the Bulls. I think FAU will be a 3 seed.

Seems pretty dumb that they did not put in a bid if this is true.

I've never heard of this in baseball.   This article says the NCAA picks regional and super regional hosts and if a super regional host loses in the regional, THEN the remaining teams bid to host the super regional.  It could be true, but I've never heard of that and don't see why USF would not "bid" to host a regional if this was the case.
