Mike Florio made a good point on why QBs should not go to the draft

More too lose than gain... wait until your pro day

Q needed to be there (I am assuming you meant to say "NFL Combine"...not "draft"...I think he wants to go to the draft LOL). Pro scouts know that he will have to be something other than a QB. Thus, he gets a chance to display all of his skills in other areas besides QB. They will be looking at him as a KO returner and WR. If he did not go to the combine those looking at him would have been limited and this environment has more pressure so I would think that would be good to see how he is under those conditions.

I think rb is his best position in the nfl.

Is it really possible to succeed in the NFL at that position if you've never played it?  The former Penn State QB comes to mind, but he actually played some RB as well as WR in his career.

There was also Michigan's Denard Robinson that played RB and QB in college.

It's more than just skill, the years of coaching and learning...

True but as a dual threat QB, he's had to know the RB position and execute plays as an RB. I know it's not exactly the same, but he's not completely inexperienced at the role.

Still, more of a Percy Harvin type role fits QF IMO--he can be a threat at several different positions with his elusiveness and burst of acceleration.

Learning WR would be a big ask, but, I would bet that Q can use his elusiveness to sell a route and get wide open. I don't know how his hands are, but, you look at NFL slot receivers, and most of them are not freak athletes, they are quick, sure-handed, and smart. Q has that potential, it's just not an easy position to jump right in to. If he can make it as a returner and then add those skills, it could work for him long-term.
