Not many have switched sides and played at a high level. Scott Frost was able to play in the NFL for about six seasons as a safety.

Absolutely... but there have been a handful that have made the switch:

Julian Edelman, Josh Cribbs, Terell Pryor, Antwaan Randle El, Devin Hester, Frost... it's not a regular occurrence, but players have done it recently.

That’s fair but it would have to be a speciality position as he is kind of on the small side.
