Probably because a lot of these guys are successful failures and spend a lot of their time planning where they are going to go next to further inflate their egos instead of concentrating on the tasks at hand.

Lots of truth, like business executives. Once you are in the club your'e in and results seem to not matter and you easily move around despite failures.

Rumor has it that CCS doesn't like it here and will jump ship to a P5 school. So long as he takes his OC with him, I'm not sure that would be a horrible tragedy.

He also has that nice guy image. He is talked about as being a good coach, when from what I’ve seen isn’t necessarily the truth. I think we could have won these games with pretty much any d1 coach leading us.

I think any local HS coach that followed our team could:

1. Have coached us to the same record this year.

2. Have coached one of our opponents to a victory over the CCS incarnation of this talent.

This game was on the coaching staff.  Period!

We lost with :11 left. Just went back and watched the last drive. We snapped the ball with time on the play clock as follows:

:09

:25

:23

:19

:03

:16

FG with :04 left

Strong and Gilbert can talk all they want about execution, but they could/should have made the FG with no more than :05 left

Not sure what they could have possibly been thinking here. One of the announcers mentioned that he wasn't sure the thought process was behind why they were doing that.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. I have a feeling CCS thinks he’s better than he really is

There are some pretty good high school coaches in this area. They definitely would have used the talent better.

Hope he goes to UF and he pulls a Texas on them.

I hope the gators fire their coach and go after him. Their team already has a horrible offense, so CCs wouldn’t have much work to do.
