If we win out and continue to demolish people then we would have: The Nations longest winning streak at 17 games Scored 30 plus points in 29 straight games 12-0 Record 30-4 in the last 34 games +25 point differential per game Coach Strong.. We've never had this much coverage because of the coach These two may or may not happen just by winning out.

The only way it will ever happen, and even in this hypothetical I would be skeptical, is if a team like USF (or UCF or Houston) ran the table 2 seasons in a row, with big regular season wins and winning their NY6 bowl (or two) before. Houston would have been a great litmus test last year before they crapped out.

USF was ranked #19 in the final polls after winning our bowl game against South Carolina and continued to be ranked in the preseason and have been currently ranked for 11 consecutive weeks. So we do have that to our credit. IF both Michigan State and Wisconsin, who are ranked, had remained on the 2018 USF schedule, plus we also had beaten a couple of ranked AAC teams on the way to winning the CCG, and our overall record was 12-0, we would have had a realistic chance to make the playoffs, even more so if there was no other, or perhaps just one other, undefeated team. IMO, under such circumstances, we would be seriously in the conversation for playoff consideration, and rightfully so. We needed standout wins vs P5 teams this season and didn't have them on the schedule. Wins vs Wisconsin and Michigan St this year we would be 6-0 and ranked in the top 6 right now..win out the remainder of the schedule and due to attrition of teams 1-5, we would finish Top 4 and in the playoffs. Won't happen this season because of that.

The second two are possible, but don't see 2 P5 conferences having champions with 3 or more losses. Maybe the PAC12 (as USC and Stanford both still play ND, and Wash, Wash st, Stanford still all have to play each other), but don't see a realistic road for a 3 loss champion in the ACC or Big 12
