When we snagged him from WKU, I think it was in the contract we had to setup a game with them. Too bad it wasn't the same thing in this situation. Would like some pay back from the Sun Bowl.

Already played FSU, UM, UNC, NCST, PITT, Clemson, UL, Syracuse

Have scheduled: GT

Still need : Duke, UVA, VA Tech, BC, Wake.

Easier said than done.

What benefit would they gain by scheduling USF when they already have FSU and UM in their conference?

Losing to FSU or UM is no great shame to them, but losing to USF could hurt their Florida recruiting and only help elevate our own.

No doubt.

Our main focus with scheduling the ACC should be on getting another series with FSU and UM. Those are the teams we need to play. However, we don't currently have any leverage for doing that. When, we were in a BCS conference that put us on more equal footing. Now, they have no incentive to play USF, except for  a marginal increase in their home attendance and that probably is not sufficient justification for either of them.

GT plays in the ACC, so they'll always be a name opponent, but I'd be fairly confident in predicting LA Tech will win more games the next two years and probably be an overall better team.

Yes .... And it's also a team that tons more people would want to come watch over La Tech .... which I thought was part of your ooc sched gripe?
