Through the support of generous donors and community leaders like yourself, our community could soon be the full-time home for an NCAA Division I Athletics program. Over the next year USF Athletics, in partnership with USF Sarasota-Manatee and its Rowing Steering Committee, will be working with individuals like you to cultivate the support that a program like this requires. USF has a great location to practice and be competitive. Good luck to women's program!

My guess is that they would practice on the Manatee River. If so, that would mean I'd be able to check them out from time to time.

It's going to be used for Olympic trials, so the rowing team will be able to use that as a recruiting tactic. The facilities are already there, just a matter of setting up the team. It's closer to the campus than Ft Hamer. They're scheduled to host the 2017 World Rowing Championships, the 2018 World Masters Regatta, the 2018, 2021, and 2022 NCAA Divisions I, II, and, III Women's Rowing Championships
