AAC Media Day

Why are we still doing the AAC media day event in Newport?  We are no longer part of the Big East.  Thoughts?

I've also wondered this.  I'd rather see it move a little further south.  If they still want to make the seafood the big draw, they could move it to Baltimore and get blue crab as the main course.  Definitely would more centrally locate conference headquarters a bit more.

Could it be part of the deal to retain the league history?  I was looking at something the other dayt that dated the AAC founding back to the Big East days, despite the name "Big East" being used for that colleciton of basketball schools...

Maryland in summer is where the term "swamp ass" was invented. Keep it in RI.

How about Annapolis - Great crabs there and nice location.

I'm pretty sure the American is still headquartered in Providence, hence the media day in RI.  Or was this thread more of why is the American still in Providence without a team there lol?

League offices are in providence and most conferences have media days near the league headquarters
