They need to complete 5 innings by 4:30 to count as a complete game. If not, it goes in the books as a tie.

Start time looks to be 2:30. I wonder if that 4:30 CST time is the time the game has to be called or the time USF has to leave the complex; two very different things there. Hopefully this game goes more quickly. With that monstrous sixth inning by the Bulls I was beginning to think memphis was playing the long con; make the game go as long as possible by throwing ducks. Couple that with a monstrous inning of their own and that sixth was 30 minutes long.

4:30 local or 4:30 Eastern?

That game took forever for a seven inning game. I overheard that the Bulls need to leave by 5:30 EST regardless of what happens in he second game. Do they try to get some of the second game in? I suppose playing another abbreviated game is better than none at all? Again just a disadvantage since the Bulls are great at the late inning comeback.

Not a disadvantage if both teams know the rules.  The late inning comeback simply would have to start sooner in an abbreviated game.

The announcer said no inning can start after 4:30, so I'm guessing play pretty much stops at that point

Houston puts up 9 in bottom of first, it's 9-0 Houston with Tulane batting in T2.

Has to be 4:30 local. Would be silly to have the whole country on a 4:30 eastern rule.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
