Is that a shot at my awesome high school coach suggestion??

Not sure if serious.

No.

It's a shot at taking an inexperienced guy from, say, Duke or Kansas and expecting him to work Duke/Kansas magic on the IBG.   Need someone that has participated in a build, that can run a program top to bottom.  I like brybull's list of HCs over assistants chillin at a perennial top 10 program ( see Antigua, Orlando).   :)

We need a turnaround specialist like the coach we had in football.

Not some joker accustomed to coaching the talent level at their current school.

You and bry are having a difficult time this afternoon with clarity. You were referring to assistant coaches ... so I'm glad my hs coach is still in play. For the record, though, every hc we've had before COA fit your criteria so I was looking forward to the break from that, hoping that Antigua was going to be the one ... obviously he wasn't ... but that hasn't completely turned me off to trying another one. The ones, like FSU's Jones, with experience recruiting Florida are intriguing.

Back on page 2 Brad is clearly opposed to it.

He said we don't need one ... but the question is still how that term is defined.

I don't want a home run hire either.

This is MBB.

I want a slam dunk hire.
