Heres the trick gents...wait till a month before, book on a tuesday and you should find a flight around 250-350 to SFO or maybe even SJC from Tampa, round trip.  I'll probably try and make it as I'll be living in New Mexico at the time and I have a free place to stay in San Jose. :)

Also...there is Oakland to fly into(Southwest).  And fwiw, car rentals are(for some reason) super cheap in San Jose(from the airport).  I always hotwire a car there and get a luxury car for like $20/25 a day!  No lie!

Wait till Southwest Airlines releases their schedule, which should be in another month or so.  They fly to all Bay Area airports nonstop from PHX and even if you don't book on them, they usually force other airlines to lower their fares a bit.  As Bulls alum and SWA employee, just heads up.

I was checking flights out of curiosity today and I'm of the mind that I could make this work. My thought is to attend the game, then I may attend my annual IRS forum the next week in Las Vegas. The weekend following is labor day weekend, so we should have an additional day off for a company holiday.

We paid about 800.00 for 2 tickets. I don't remember the airline right now  but I know we fly into Dallas first then on to San Jose.

We're gonna be out there 5 days I think. and then  we're going to Tulane in October so this 2017 season gonna be expensive for me.
