All of these rankings are based on total talent, which makes big classes better than small classes. It's much better for comparison sake to rank the class on AVERAGE athlete star ranking. Based on this, how did we rank, I wonder?

Correct, that's where the money is made and even though the ranking is low, the average number isn't too shabby. Just need to get off the mat and bring some of these decommitments back or bring some more guys in. I bet this year will be less than what the average CCS class will be. Just too ugh volatility in staff happening in a short time. Some of these kids don't want to wait to see what happens even though their visits are in January.

He'll bring in plenty of talent.  I don't think he'll get the 4 or 5 stars this year, but the in the future he'll do just fine.

I also wouldn't expect any five stars coming to Tampa. Houston got immensely lucky that add Oliver wanted to play with his brother. That doesn't happen for G5 teams or lower level P5s. There's only about 30 or so five stars per cycle so it's not a bad thing.

This is correct...we have a pretty decent average star rating...that being said we had and still may have some higher ranked recruits we can land

2-4 four stars when he has a full class is probably a good target.  Doubt any 5 stars come until we get the call up to the P5 and that would likely still be rare.  I'd think his time at Louisville would be a fair model.

At Louisville (per 247)

- 2 in 2010, ranked 44

- 4 in 2011, ranked 27

- 3 in 2012, ranked 45

- 3 in 2013, ranked 37

according to their rankings zero 5 stars

Win the conference and most bowl games and I don't care who he recruits.

You should care. You position yourself to  win conference and bowl games first by having good talent.

I took his comment as if we are winning the conference and most bowl games then he is recruiting the right players and stars/rankings and such don't matter.

While I'm sure Strong can bring in the Talent, I'm just hoping he can turn that talent into wins ala Louisville.
