So what that Temple spoke with Strong,  I am sure that Strong's agent will have him  talk to all 3 schools if asked.  Same with Kiflin and others.   Try to make it a bidding war for services

Relax. There is no way we haven't already made contact with Strong. We just have no reason to leak it to the press like Temple.

And frankly, why the hell would he wanna go coach at Temple when USF is a much better job?

Temple, last year's conference runner up and this year conf champion?

Strong is not going to agree to coach at Temple.

Sources over at 247 say he is leaning towards taking at least 1 year off but that could change depending on what USF or Cincy offer

I may be in the minority, but I'd rather have David Reeves over Weist. Reeves has been here so much longer. He deserves a chance.

And losing tons of seniors vs. a top 10 offense in Tampa?

If only Harlan would live tweet the whole hiring process, we could all sleep better.

Seriously, it's better for everyone if these dealings are kept under wraps as much as possible. You know we're talking to Strong, too, but if he decides to stay out of coaching for a year or takes another job, then whoever we do hire doesn't have "second choice" written all over him (see LSU and Jimbo Fisher).

Don't panic, have a little patience. We will be fine. Like BAW said above, nobody was talking about Rhule to Baylor until it was done.

And?  Who cares what Temple is doing.  Any coach that is in his right mind, all things being equal, is going to choose USF 7 days a week and twice on Sundays, over Temple.

If it's down to USF and Temple for Charlie Strong, Coach Strong will be at USF.

Temple is going to be garbage next year.  Any coach coming in knows he has a rebuilding project, unlike USF which is a turn key operation.  Turn key, walk in door, and come out with 10+ wins.

Which is going to look better on his resume.
