Need to get rid of the playoff committee and replace it with objective metrics.

For one, it should be only conference champions.

Hell, just simple, take the 4 conference champions with the best record... then have some kind of tie breaker for when records are the same.

Needs to be the full 10 conference champs or the "other" conferences will never make it.

Because Western Michigan? Unbeaten, why not include them. If they had 1 loss, they would still be in... which is more questionable. Maybe just restrict committee selection to conference champions. Then they could pick penn state.

You can't start requiring conf championships until you expand to 10 or minimum 5/6.

We already went over this:

Best compromise (to keep the P5 happy):

8 teams: 5 P5 conf champs; 2 Wild Card Spots; and Top G5 conf champ: then seed according to ranking.

(use the same bowl games for this spots; the NY6 is incorporated into the CFP8)

This works, because this benefits other P5 schools (*cough Big 12) that get left out because their matchup may not be as ideal as: Saban versus Meyer.

Also, this year would be:

Alabama, Washington, Penn State, Clemson, Western Michigan, Penn State, and Michigan/Oklahoma

(seed them according to CFP8 ranking)

Ohio State is 11-1 and Oklahoma is 10-2.

But I would consider Oklahoma over Michigan

8 teams.  5 P5 winners and 3 at large.  Solves most issues.  The P5 doesnt care about non P5 winners.  So neither does NCAA.

Better than status quo

G5 need to lobby unanimously for one guaranteed spot

NY6 otherwise, is irrelevant
