The offense all stems from CWT, I expect that to remain constant as long as he and QF are together.  If CWT is still here in 2018 things will be very interesting.

I'm  not so convinced. Remember his offense when he first arrived? THAT is Willie's offense. I think the Gulf Coast had a lot more input in creation, even if he does call all the plays.

And John Reaves was Spurrier's QB for BanditBall. Now, THAT was fun football. Ahh, the memories!

Irrelevant to the current conversation, but those were good times.

I wonder if the change had more to do with Kinnan than anything though. All coaches on that side of the ball are valuable though.

This is the same offense that Kinnan ran at Manatee - my buddy played for him there and went on to be a LB at Jacksonville University. He tells me Kinnan is for sure behind the offensive scheme change.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
