So... we know that Joey Knight has not included USF, but Brett McMurphy did...

I expect USF will be closer to #25, but still not in it.  The offense deserves it, clearly... but the defense... oh that defense... that is what is keeping USF out.

reporters and coaches do not sit and watch USF games, therefore the box score margin of victory matters.  The people who rank teams more than likely take 3 or 5 minutes to look at the box score and make a ranking decision. Since the defense has its issues the margin of victory has not been good this year. USF is forced  to out score teams rather than stop teams from scoring.  If USF was able to stop teams from scoring, the "Style Points" votes would kick in and get USF in the top 25. Until that time USF can probably go 10-2 and not be ranked especially if SMU and UCF put up above average point totals against USF.

Looks like we're tied for #27 in the Coaches poll with Navy; 43 points apiece. Houston is 26.

White gets the last laugh?

Pitt gets pity votes for beating the #2 team, I get that. and SDSU is one loss. But man, I'd take us over Troy and SDSU right now.

We are right were we should be, we are not very good at beating teams with a winning record.
