Thank goodness the Bulls have the bye week, coaches need to get the defense on track, there were too many missed tackles, arm tackles, and whiffs last night.  Additionally, breakdowns by secondary allowing receivers to get behind the defense, there is a lot of work to be done if they want to win the Conference Championship.

Tackling wasn't the issue last night...tackling was actually pretty sound...the backs and qb were getting decent chunks of yards, but it wasn't due to missed tackles

From my seat the Bull's missed tackles, and had several whiffs.

I feel like the defense was amazing for 3 quarters. Then they just allowed Navy to run the clocks out themselves.

Those open receivers though.   Gotta be better than that.  I feel like if we tackle better up front then that gives our dbs more confidence downfield.  Overthinking is bad on defense.

I hear that but it's  hard to stop both.  I'm sure there's a reason we run those pass preventing zone defenses and don't sell out to stop the run like we did vs Navy. Our players may not be that good at man on man coverage. How many high school defenses run that to prepare them?

Shoot how many colleges run that now a days?

Honestly not sure just my hypothesis.

From what I am hearing there were a lot of backups in for the D starting in the fourth. I think this was done way too soon. The same applies for the QB change.

Navy is a game you just gotta be happy about winning and not being too banged up. There's a reason they haven't lost more than a couple conference games.   They good. I also am happy we won't be playing them for awhile.

The tackled the best all season....the Navy qb did a about job on pulling it or on the pitch..they tackled the player though...did they miss a couple yes...they had the most technically sound game tackling all season though
