Unless they mean AAC championship with us and the National championship with who ever (not us).  Just that ray jay hosts the games

Yes, that's waht I was referring to

I give it a 1% shot, which is infinitely better than 0%

If we don't make it to the Cotton Bowl the bowls that are my ideal options for USF on national spotlight are the Birmingham Bowl (vs. SEC), the Armed Forces Bowl (vs. Big XI), or the Military Bowl (vs. ACC)

Yes these are the hopes. The only crappy thing is it's pretty much a free for all amongst the Bowl committees on slots and it's based on whom they can market better. How confident do the bowls feel that USF will draw any crowd if the game isn't in Florida? I really want to go to an out of state bowl game, especially after Xmas so bad though. Miami Beach bowl was okay but meh...

Probably SP Bowl per ESPN, but McMurphy's an idiot. Bowls really don't like rematches.

St. Petersburg Bowl

Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida
Dec. 26, 11 a.m. (ESPN)

Schlabach: Georgia Tech vs. South Florida
McMurphy: Syracuse vs. South Florida

We have no shot at all of the 4 team playoff even if we win out and win the AAC. Zero. If we had beat FSU there was a shot. No way the committee let's in a 1 loss AAC team with the best wins being Navy and Houston. Zero shot. Not 1%, 0%

We could very easily go 12-1,win the American and play a 6 or 7 win Cuse again in St. Pete. ESPN has Houston in the miami beach bowl against central michigan...yikes.
