Johnny Ward as really come on the past few games. I think I have seen more of him and less of Higgins.

Coach highlighted award as symbolic of the character of the team members.  Ward lost his job yet remained positive and remained ready if opportunity became available.  Good stuff .

He stepped up.  The QB was only throwing to one player, but **** glad he was there.

I was a bit down on Ward (especially after the Navy game), but I give him all the respect as he has really turned it up this year and is showing great energy & leadership...and hard hitting, solid tackling.

I think it says a lot about the depth tha Taggart has built when Hoggins is banged up a bit and you can replace him with a guy that saw significant playing time as a freshmen.
