You're right, and that's a lot of pressure on the kid.  Hope he can handle it

Fernandes bogeyed 17 but Correa just birdied 18......only 1 hole left for Fernandes, looks like we made it !

It was ugly, but I'll take it. They didn't blow it over the last few holes.

It looked like tough tourney conditions for everybody.

No doubt, we were the odd team not being from the area.

So, just getting through to the finals was good enough.

So much for upsets... the top 3 seeds in each regional advance. That has never happened in the six-regional format

Lance Ringler has a blog on the NCAA tourney.

NCAA postseason blog: Keeping tabs on all things college golf

He pointed out a few interesting things in there about USF. However, I didn't want to mention them before, for fear of being considered a jinx, in case we didn't advance. LOL

Fun with numbers: Fall vs. spring rankings in men's golf

May 12

By Lance Ringler

Using spring only results, the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings have identified a few teams playing much better than what may see out of the year-long numbers.

For starters, LSU checks in as the No. 2 in in the spring and South Florida is No. 5. Both teams improved more than 20 spots compared to their final fall ranking. Of teams in the postseason, the biggest team improvement belongs to UNLV. After ending the fall No. 53, the Rebels are No. 15 in the spring only ranking.

Looking at postseason teams only, Georgia Tech and Purdue had the biggest fall offs from fall only versus spring only rankings.
