Geno will find a way to win with the players he DOES have. They are still a team of fantastic talent and still years beyond the talent of our Bulls.

They aren't years beyond us. Well, probably not more than 3-4 years assuming we keep winning.

Keep in mind that we were the only team in the past two years to lead UConn at the half. The only team to lead them in more than 1 quarter this season. And that's with their big 3.

The real question is whether Laksa and Ferreira can step up and take their games to the next level. They are good players, most of the way to very good, but can they be elite? Laksa has the potential to be the next Mosqueada-Lewis. She showed a lot of that potential last year, let's hope she keeps getting better.

UConn lost a game last season to Stanford I believe.  (not the season that just ended)

UConn recruited a player with the last name Dangerfield, but we have a Jazz Bond... So, we easily win!

For those who don't know they are HS basketball teammates and have been playing together since they were seven years old. So, I presume it will be very strange for them to be playing against each other in college.

Here is an article on Jazz when she gave a verbal to USF. She has probably talked about USF more on social media than any of the other commits. I am expecting that she will fit in very well.

Some pics ic of Jazz and Crystal at their prom the other day. Jazz is the taller lady.

In UCONN's worst season of the last four (2012/13), the were 35-4, with one loss to Baylor and 3 to Notre Dame.  Yet, in the Final Four they demolished the Irish 83-65 in the Semi, and Louisville 93 - 60.

How many Top-10 ranked teams did the Bulls beat during the Jenkins/Williams era, the winningest in USF WBB history?

Is there a point somewhere in there ...... or just more of the usual?

Ned you ask?

It's a young, unproven mix for us, but full of talent and significant experience. This will be an interesting year for sure.

With all due respect.  I have grown fatigued over moral victories and talks of our potential.

This is not directed at you bullsbucsfan426.

I will go to games and scream and yell my support but until to we win championships we should not be crowing over anyone.

Patting ourselves on the backs for halftime leads and good recruiting classes is what we used to make fun of UCiF for and it screams complacency.

Disagreeing just to agree with me...I said UCONN is years beyond us in talent and then you proceeded to pretend to disagree while agreeing with me anyway.  We are YEARS away from being as talented as a UCONN team that sweeps the conference annually, beats every top 10 opponent faced AND wins National Championships consistently.  Don't disagree just to disagree. A moral victory of winning 1 quarter or a half of a basketball game doesn't mean we are just as talented as UCONN. We are YEARS AWAY with conference championships, occasionally beating UCONN, getting matchups against teams like Baylor and ND and winning in tournament play. We would need to proceed to win ATLEAST 1 National Championship.  THEN, at that point but not until,  we can start talking about matching UCONN in talent and execution.

Don't know if I'd say years...

So you're saying we are as talented as UCONN in the next 12 months?

Nope.  You're right, we are years away.  They are like pros playing middle schoolers and in reality it will take years to level the playing field.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
