Yeah I honestly don't know how much those services cost- if they're reasonable, and may help your kid get a look at some FCS school, good for you. In my mind I assume it's that kid you knew in HS that had all the new expensive gear, went to (insert local pro sports player)'s camps, etc. I could be way off.

They vary, but cost anywhere from around 600 or 700 dollars to 1,500 to 2,000 dollars or so.  Rough estimates.  Depends on which package you get.  A lot of coaches scout for talent from the database.  But yes, if you have the know how, you can probably do and learn everything the recruiting services do for you including making your own video and shopping yourself around.

I mean, UGH. What a Stanford (or Duke) thing to say. Guess they don't hold satellite camps in ivory towers.

Anything that pisses off the SEC, is okay in my book. When on the outside looking in, the schadenfreude is strong.

Since we no longer have access to the Space Shuttle, maybe we can team up with some Russian schools for a satellite camp.

I'll say it again. Satellite camps are bad for USF, especially if 10-15 northern schools (no necessarily the powers) come running to recruiting Tampa and start inviting guys we're targeting.

Will it kill recruiting? No, but losing 2-3-4 guys a year will hurt.

But throw those blinders on.
