It sure isn't a football decision. Maybe he just wants a good degree, awesome food, hot women, and one of the best cities in America.

hard to argue with those perks, but they are likely bad for a while at football.  Saw a tweet that USF may have stopped chasing him, but no clue if true.

Have you been to New Orleans? That **** hole is the SEC East of American cities. Coasting by on a reputation that was probably never deserved in the first place.

I should be asking you the same thing if you actually don't like that city. I bet you think the Godfather is overrated, too.

I could see how people wouldn't like NOLA. It really is a city you love or hate. I for one think it is a great city, my wife thinks it is dirty and overrated(she's a Savannnah/Charleston girl)

Your wife is correct. I'll pass, I don't like walking around a place where I need a portable air cleaner to breathe. Let's not even get on the smell.

My brother had an offer to get his PhD from Tulane, then after 1 visit, he passed.  A main reason:  "If you think Tampa is humid, NOLA is just brutal".

I had a biz conference years ago, and was approached by a hooker on the way to the conference center. My response, "Seriously?  I haven't even had coffee."

That said, my wife has never been, and we'll likely go to the Tulane game.  Hopefully it's deep into the Fall, so it's cooler.  Bourbon Street is fun, but yeah, a bit dirty.

For me Nola is all about the food - Dragos for char grilled oysters, Mothers for breakfast, ACME Oyster house, po boys, crawfish etouffe, jumbalya, beignets and Cafe au lait at Cafe Du Monde and the list goes on.  **** now I'm hungry.

I agree with you, the food is amazing there!!! I love the places you listed as well as the Gumbo Shop, Galatorie's and Muriel's Jackson Square. I am definitely going to the Tulane game

Ha. Nah I will watch Godfather once a year, but I prefer the book.

For me NOLA could fit right into Europe; poor city planning, reckless driving, poverty...it just had none of the positives that a Paris or Cologne provide. When I saw an African refuge standing a foot from a public restroom pissing I expected it in Paris. I didnt expect it outside of the Audobon Zoo.
