Mathies is a Taggart guy, though, for whatever that's worth. Would make less sense than it did for Allen to head there, but certainly seems like a fit given those open spots.

First thing I though of was Indiana. But there's also the Taggart connection with Stanford and Bielema talked Woodie about Arkansas last year so maybe there's a line of communication there.

This is a perma-ban free zone.

I'd be shocked if Woodie gave up his defensive coordinator spot before he even starts to be a position coach again, even if it is with a great program.

I just meant that maybe he recommends someone or there is a connection to USF's program. The Arkansas job is for a running back coach

Ah, I was referring to the Stanford job - thought you were implying you thought Woodie might be an option there.

If you are going to have changes. This is the perfect time of year to have them.

Not necessarily.  Not as many coaches willing to leave at this stage for another school for us to choose from when filling the opening.

Well id really like to keep Hope since we'll have a new center and mostly new line.

Alas, this doesn't appear to be happening.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
