Just like with the  current AP Poll (USF #19), sets another all-time record by being ranked #17 in the coaches poll.

http://sports.espn.go.com/womens-college-basketball/rankings

I don't think the coaches release how each one voted weekly. Too bad, because it would be interesting to see.

In the AP thread, I posted how each of the writers voted. In that one, USF had a number of top 15 votes, with the best being #10 from ESPN and #11 by CBS.

A win Thursday at #5 Baylor would propel USF up the rankings. I don't believe it is being televised. If someone finds that it is, please post the network.

This is the game that can push the Lady Bulls to a new level.  Win this(of course assuming they win all the ones they are supposed to win) and the total discussion on WBB in the American and on the national scene will be USF and UConn and that would be AMAZING !!!

They will have to play much, much better than they have to have a chance against Baylor.

Another meaningless pre-season poll!

If you aren't interested in polls, why look at them and make the same comment in every thread?

As I responded to your same remark in the AP Poll, it is all about RECRUTING in every sport.

The ranked teams get the better recruits and that is NOT meaningless.

Well, Baylor started off slow in both games so far in the WNIT.

The key for USF is to get out of the gate quickly and that will put more pressure on them.

In just about every game we lost last year, we started out very slow and needed to play catch up.

Wouldn't call them meaningless for the reasons MAMA mentioned.  But as any informed fan knows, Polls are a joke for the most part. (biased and skewed to favor the Power 5 schools) . However they are far from meaningless and have huge implications for a program when it comes to perception, recruiting, tourney bids, seeding's ect..

Any TV coverage of this one?

I have yet to look at any of the polls!

You seem to proclaiming your expertise and vast knowledge of Women's Basketball.  How long have you been watching WBB?

How many young women in your family have been or are being recruited by college basketball teams?

Just curious, why does it matter how long she's studied WBB or if she has children that played? Is there some prerequisite to forming an opinion based off the facts and insights that Mama Bull provides?
