UConn Looks To Build On Big Win As USF Comes To Town

 

The teams have had a history of struggling when they meet but UConn and South Florida will both be on a high when the Bulls come to Rentschler Field as the Huskies Homecoming Game opponent Saturday at noon.

ESPNU will carry the game.

The Bulls, 0-1, are in search of their first conference win but they scored their first victory over a Power 5 conference in the 29-game tenure of head coach Willie Taggart with a 45-24 win over Syracuse at Raymond James Stadium Saturday to improve to 2-3 overall.

USF, which owns a 7-5 series edge over the Huskies, is behind UConn (1-1, 3-3) in the AAC's East division.

UConn, for the second consecutive season knocked off the defending conference champs on Saturday but this time it was on the road and the Huskies, too, had an offensive explosion in Florida, ringing up the most points (40) the program scored in a single game since the 2013 season when it notched 45 against Memphis.

I think USF's chances in this game are very good, but it's gonna be cold.  Hope the guys realize the best way to stay warm is to run fast and hit hard.

I don't think it'll be a baseball score again, but I do think the best defense is going to determine the winner. Edge USF.

A highly relative term.  The current forcasted low is 34, and I saw on Twitter earlier that Jenna Laine said the low was 28.

I think most would agree that that is cold.

The low of 28 is for Saturday night.  The low for Friday going into Saturday is supposed to be 47 with a high of 55.

Cold??? 55 degrees is perfect weather. Good lord of the team uses this excuse for 55 degrees we got real problems.
