He was eventually cleared to enroll at USF but he did not meet the requirements needed for the NCAA Eligibility Center to allow him to play with the Bulls this season.Though he is still ineligible to play for Florida this season, the 6-foot-8 Da Silva will do his best to make his presence felt in practice. Da Silva's situation recalls that of Florida guard Brandone Francis and Oklahoma power forward Dante Buford; two players who also attended Arlington Country Day School and missed the 2014-2015 season after the NCAA ruled them ineligible.
