In all seriousness though it is a confusing title, the author should've said something like "Former UCLA QB." Just my 2 cents.

Exactly. I'm more and more thinking that most media outlets can't afford editors/proofreaders any longer ...

This being a student newspaper, would that scenario apply?

maybe he ran out of space to add the word "Former" :D

I meant would those be paid positions?

Hopefully the new coach will not want to change the offense again.  Also sounds like this kid knows that Willie is on the way out, at least he can't come back and use that as an excuse to transfer.

He specifically cited CWT's decision to change to a spread that made him want to come play for him. Looks like he's betting on CWT to stay.

Despite the awkward title, the article itself is well written and I enjoyed reading all the quotes from AW.

The writer did say in the body that he was a "former" UCLA QB.

For all we know, the editor could have added the title to the piece.  It's of little importance.

I'm somewhat surprised that the substance of what AW  said isn't more the focus of discussion.

That's because he didn't provide anything for someone to pick apart. I thought it was a great interview and he appears to be coming here with just the right attitude ...

I think we all just want to see a quarterback step up and lead this team to bowl game.  Is he the right guy next year...who knows.

I wonder what QF thinks about this?  He is supposed to be our guy!  If QF is our guy then AW will never see the field.  if AW is our guy then QF will transfer beause he will never see the field.  Great problem to have I guess.  Next year we will have two junior QBs that are supposed to be THE GUY!

I think it says a lot about the coaching staffs confidence in QF.

Your comment gives me no hope for this season.
