The time to announce our OCS in now. Here's why:

We are in an "arms race" with UCF. Not just in sports but in funding. Look at the money the governor just whacked from UCF, and somewhat from USF.

We compete with them in "perception" outside of Florida. For probably 10 years in a row, they got called USF by announcers way more than we got called UCF. Now that's flipped.

UCF is being talked about ahead of us in conference realignment everywhere except for here in Brad's safe house. They are the largest (or 2nd) traditional university in the country.

We need to be doing everything gwe can do to make sure we aren't stuck in the AAC by ourselves. Those county commissioners bickering about using the MOSI site for an OCS need a slap of reality if they don't understand we have to keep pace with the whorelando school. Imagine WV, Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor, etc games at the Bounce House and we get stuck with Tulsa at RayJay.

I'm not saying spend funds or break ground anytime soon. Just make the commitment for a 50k stadium on or across the street. Do it before it's too late.

Some of you will say, just win and things will take care of themselves. We haven't been able to do that for years and we don't have any time to wait if the Big12 acts in the next few months.

Some of you will say we don't have the money... Well, no kidding. Make the announcement and start the donations both corporate and private. May take 10 years to get the money to start, may take 2. Can't know till you start.

Let's all be clear, if we get stuck in the AAC while our conference mates get moved up to the P5 we will be done in the "revenue" sports.

Their enrollment numbers and every other metric has yet to show this to be a net benefit (in comparison to the other D1 schools)

Then we're screwed if an OCS is some kind of critical criteria for an invitation ...... of which there has been no evidence whatsoever presented that I've seen. Who knows, the B12 may considering playing in an NFL stadium a nice novelty.
