    I think with Mike it brings hope back to our team and our brand. When there's no offense, nobody wants any of that. I mean nothing kills recruiting like no offensive TD for so many quarters... The bus is back on the road!

    Again, with the team the way it is, and if you offered me the choice of Mike, Matt, and B.J., all as freshmen players, I would take Mike.

    My point is that we have our new QB in the post-Daniels era, as mainly a reaction people saying we need to see if he can do the job. We can build the offense around Mike; he's not a temp QB until we get somebody in there next year. As far as him earning anything, no, he hasn't even won a game. How good will he be? Who knows? I'm just freaking happy that we have a QB who can do the job!

    This was the TD that sold me, in addition to the rest of his throws in the game. By the way, he had another TD. We all know about that call.     Just like us fans, when the players know that the offense isn't working, everybody is down. And that adds up from player to player. And then it becomes a problem. Now, they know things are different. Players are going to get a boost of energy. We have never had a team full of the best talent in America. But what we used to have when we won more games was a fighting spirit. We've lost that for several years now. Hopefully, our players will play as a team and with pride.

    Look, when you see a program like ours hit bottom, it's going to be a while to crawl out. I mean look what that guy left our program with. We are barely a shadow of what our program used to be. But tonight there was hope. Mike White has IT. And I love his attitude! Patience, Bulls. We'll be back soon enough.

    I feel great. This season was going to be hell. I knew that. Now, we have hope. We have two very good players, a QB and a kicker.

    Also, here's something to consider. With Mike White getting game experience, we'll know what the future holds. We don't want to save him until next year and then only sign one QB in the off season, only to find out we are back at square one next season: all of our QBs stink.

    Okay, here are my questions: 1) Who's our money guy on offense? 2) Who are our three-point shooters? 3) Do we have a center that can score around the basket? On defense, I'm confident we'll be better at rebounding, which will be an improvement from last year.

    Game experience is more important if the future is riding on it, such as the case with Mike White. We don't want a repeat of this year at QB. Mike getting experience will help him develop much quicker. And if he has "it", he will rise to the top and be that much better next year. The team, the fans, all of us are suffering this year. We don't want this ride repeated next year. Let's play the players who are going to be a part of the future. There's no more waiting around -redshirting is not a luxury we can afford right now, not at QB.

    I still distinctly remember driving all the way to Tallahassee to watch FSU play uf back in the day because we had no football. (Lawrence Dawsey was FSU's star at the time.) USF football has given so much joy over the years. This ain't nuthing' WE WILL BE BACK! As long as there are players and they are playing for my school, I'm supporting them. WE WILL BE BACK! GO BULLS!!!

    Very tragic. I didn't know Steve personally but I certainly read many of his posts over the years. I just found one of his recent posts. He is always so positive. We'll all have to pick up the slack for Steve, Bulls' Nation; we all need to strive to be a little more positive about our Bulls for Steve. Truly sad.
