  1. That's Beautiful. I mean, what are you going to do. It's a Doggy Dog World. Can't expect him to always drop it like it's hot at UCLA. I don't blame if he doesn't want to play anymore, but really, it ain't no fun unless the homies can have one.
  2. Ryan Autullo â€@AutulloAAS Aug 13 Am told former Texas LB Cecil Cherry will visit South Florida on Monday.
  3. Is it too late to switch to an option offense? I almost think that throwing the ball with this squad is a waste of a possession.
  4. Interesting read from 2013: http://southflorida.247sports.com/Article/Frostproof-LB-Cecil-Cherry-recaps-his-visit-to-USF-127154?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Top 2015 LB impressed with USF Kyle Bennett - Apr 18, 2013 7 South Florida Newsletter 0 2 The Bulls are staying busy on the recruiting trail and have made Frostproof (Fla.) 2015 linebacker Cecil Cherry a top priority. The 6-foot, 220-pound prospect claims 15 total offers from the likes of USF, Florida, Florida State, Miami, UCF, Louisville, South Carolina, Tennessee and more. The rising junior visited South Florida last weekend for the Bulls' spring game. "I loved it. I loved the atmosphere," Cherry said of the game. "It [uSF] felt better than Miami because they [uSF staff] was showing me instead of just telling me. I was seeing it from my own eyes." A defensive standout, Cherry paid special attention to the defense and the linebacking corps. "The defense really stood out to me," Cherry said. "The linebacker, DeDe Lattimore stood out to me too. I really liked how the defense performed. Following the game, Cherry spent a little bit of time with Lattimore and a number of players. "They said some key things to me. They talked a lot about the training facilities and how good they rehab is if players get hurt," he said. "Just like Lattimore said: 'if you want to play four years and start as a true freshman, come to USF.'" Cherry also talked about relationship with his dad, and how much his thoughts will play into his decision. "My daddy wants me to stay in Florida. I have two brothers that aren't in the state so staying in state is big for me," Cherry, who was raised by only his father, said. "I come from a single-parent family. I want to feel like the coaches are my family. I was taking advice from the players. A lot of the players said they're just like me. They come from the same stuff as me and they say: 'look where I'm at now.'" While Cherry claims no favorites or leaders early on in his recruitment it's easy to see that South Florida is leaving a lasting impact. "A lot of schools offered me and then stopped talked to me," explained. "I know USF is going to be one of my first officials."
  5. We don't have the #3 available on Defense unless Deatrick Nichols is willing to change for Cecil.
  6. Cecil Cherry Expected To TransferBy: Super KPosted on: August 11, 2015 Earlier this morning Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com reported that freshman linebacker Cecil Cherry was “considering transferring.†I just got off the phone with a source very close to Cherry and his family, this is what I was told: – Cherry’s father and Cecil spoke to Charlie Strong this morning, who agreed to grant Cherry a release. I am told they expect to receive the release by this Friday. – The source said Cherry is in the process of booking a flight to return home this Saturday. And that, as it stands right now, unless there is a drastic change of heart by Cherry and his family, Cecil will be transferring. – The source went into the reasons behind the transfer, but preferred that we not report on it. I can say, however, that all was fine with Cherry up until fall camp. In other words, this is not an issue of a young player who is homesick or anything of the sort. In fact, I’m told that Cherry adjusted well to Austin and had a great bond with the both S&C staff and his teammates. This is a recent issue that came up in fall camp. If anything changes we will update you but again, as of now Cherry and his family have clearly expressed their desire to receive a release and, according to our source, Strong agreed to grant it. http://texas.thefootballbrainiacs.com/2015/08/ut-texas-longhorns-football-cecil-cherry-expected-to-transfer/

  8. Vitamin D â€@Saundersin3D Aug 9 Adam Lane got them walking papers. He said **** this **** USF his next destination Don't know how reliable the source is, but it in the Twitter world. Also, this from back in 2011: Derek Tyson â€@DerekTysonESPN 30 Dec 2011 2013 RB Adam Lane says that #USF #Gators #Bama and #Clemson are recruiting him the hardest. Says no early leaders. "Florida, USF, Alabama and Clemson among many others have offered scholarships to Lane, but he said two schools are coming after him more than the others. "Florida and USF are recruiting me the hardest," Lane said. "I talk to [Florida running back's coach] Brian White like once a week. He's a real nice guy. They are the teams that let me know that they need me and are really going to give me a chance to play early. That is all I need is one chance, then it's up hill from there."http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/colleges/florida/insider/post?id=1143
  9. A quick look at USF and UCF's rosters, it looks like UCF has 11 RB's and USF has 5.
  10. I agree that's is most like the 2014 team. Otherwise, perhaps the 2004 team that went 4-7. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_South_Florida_Bulls_football_team)
  11. This is a HUGE commit for Coach A! He's likely to be a 4 star when fall rankings come out by all accounts. PrepHoopsFloridaa had him is the #2 prospect in the class of 2017. (http://www.prephoopsflorida.com/news_article/show/533756?referrer_id=1580300) South Florida has landed a commitment from Andres Feliz, one of the stars of the recent U19 World Championships. He will enroll at the university for the 2016-17 season. "I have decided to commit to coach Orlando Antigua and the University of South Florida. Go bulls!!!" Feliz tweeted. Feliz was the leading scorer in the U19 tournament, averaging 18.9 points and 3.7 assists in seven games. The Dominican Republic team he played for finished 3-4 in those seven games, and Feliz was coached on that team by Oliver Antigua, an assistant coach for South Florida and the younger brother of USF head coach Orlando Antigua. Feliz goes to high school at West Oaks Academy and plays his AAU ball for Team Breakdown of the Under Armor Association. - See more at: http://d1sportsnet.com/news/rec-SF-MB-Feliz.php#sthash.990SRTgI.dpuf

Tyler Pippens was chosen unanimously as the Player of the Year for Ola High School. He led the team in rushing, scoring, and all purpose yards. Tyler carried the ball 134 times for a team-high 1127 yards. He caught 11 passes for 204 yards. He also completed 3 passes for 90 yards. Tyler led the team with 9 kickoff returns, totaling 259 yards. On defense, he recorded 4 tackles and 1 pass deflection. Tyler was among the state leaders for scoring in the regular season. He finished with 17 touchdowns. Tyler was a leader on the field this season. Off the field, Tyler carries a 3.5 overall G.P.A. and participates in track. He finished 4th at the Georgia High School State Meet last year in the 300 high hurdles. Tyler is a great role model for other athletes and a great mentor our underclassmen this past season.
  13. Will this ever happen? If we get to the point with media rights and legal issues, that the NCAA HAS to start paying players, can we ever get to the point where all of the D1 schools are given a hard salary cap. Let's say each school is allowed to spend $500,000 on their current roster and they have to offer four year contracts to players. This would create an amazingly level playing field in college football. I guess the concern is that the Big 5 would just pull out of the NCAA and would start to pay millions of dollars to recruits.
  14. I don't know about you guys, but I think Taggart just earned another year.
  15. Wow! This girl looks impressive. Wish she was coming in for 2015. Jose is on fire.
  16. Looks like Jose is after yet another international star. http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-commentary/article/12693734/meet-8-unsigned-seniors-turn-big-college-stars Cecilia Zandalasini: Meet the headliner of this bunch. The 6-foot-2 wing from Italy has the skills and experience to make an impact on any BCS program in the country. And it sounds as though she's headed this way. Zandalasini's plan is take the SAT shortly and play with her Italian national team in the summer. After that, she reportedly is set to visit a number of schools, make her decision shortly thereafter and enroll at a school in the United States. She is said to be considering a bunch of options, from South Florida to Minnesota to South Carolina and California. Throw in Florida, Mississippi State, Indiana, Texas, UCLA and more. In other words: Stay tuned. A major contributor could be coming from afar to impact your team soon.

  18. Have had 6 faculty seats since 2007, but really haven't gone to many games since 2010. I just held onto the tickets so that I wouldn't lose the seats. But now that the change has occurred, I'm not renewing this year. I'm disappointed that they only value faculty at a 20% discount (which is the same as just being an alumni). I'll try to to make it to 1 or 2 home games, and might catch the UMD and Navy road games, but I can't justify renewing this year. In my opinion, it's not as though I'm going to have a hard time getting good season ticket seats again if I sit out one or two years, so I can't justify holding onto the seats for that reason.
  19. According to ESPN (linked), the USF Women's team have the 13th best odds of making the elite 8. Pretty **** good for a 6 seed. 1 seed - UConn - 98% 1 seed - S. 20. Just an FYI - Higdon ended up flipping from Iowa to Michigan at the last minute.
  21. According to 247's rankings, Livingstone (3 star) is our 11th highest rated recruit, out of 20. I'd say that's a pretty good commit.
  22. Here is a free thread about him from 247: http://miami.247sports.com/Board/92/Contents/2015-34-DE-or-43-Tackle-with-no-stars-29159059
  23. Didn't Nate Ferguson just commit without taking an OV?
  24. If Taggart lands Ray Ray, I'll give him a two year extension on Thursday.
