  1. It might be better to hire someone who oh I don’t know has actually coached at least one game of football at any level before. But who knows?
  2. We know what they’re doing. We were doing it too and doing it just as well with Taggart. Bust your tail recruiting, be cool enough to get players like Flowers, Mack, and MVS to want to come play for you, and run an up-tempo offense. It’s not hard to figure out.
  3. Seriously **** off Strong “suspending” Johnny Ford. He’ll probably transfer after this game. Let him smoke as much weed as he wants as long as he balls out hes a friggin college student and the best player on this team.
  4. The problems with Strong and motivation have long been documented, even before his first season at Texas: https://www.al.com/sports/2014/06/texas_coach_charlie_strong_rep.html Makes you wonder how he gets any recruit to play for him at all...
  5. The standard should be that ranking next to our name.
  6. In the end Florida is a football state, so comparing a potential football OCS to the Sun Dome is apples to oranges. That, and the fact that the basketball team also keeps losing to the likes of IUPUI will not generate interest among students. But the students at least will come out to watch football if our team isn't total garbage. The student section was consistently packed when we had a winning team (see attached pic - Cincy 2017). And that's taking into account the hassle of getting to Ray Jay as a student and all the potential risks involved with drinking etc. If the students come out to Ray Jay, they definitely would come out to an OCS. The real problem is the casual fan. They REALLY dgaf, even with a winning team.
  7. It'd be cool to give Larry Scott a shot. He'd definitely stay for the long haul and would be an awesome recruiter.
  8. Just get someone who can recruit, they don't even have to be a good coach. As proven by Taggart, all you need to succeed in the AAC is to out recruit your opponents. Strong WAS supposed to be a good recruiter but his signed classes and talent on the field show otherwise. JUST GET SOMEONE KIDS THINK IS COOL. And please, no rethreads.
  9. I wish we could give Bell and not Charlie another year. He did call a good game, but McCloud is being asked to do things above his skillset as a QB.
  10. Really good coaches “coach up” untalented players. They also draw up a good scheme, gameplan, etc. That doesn’t seem to be our deal.
  11. At least he can handle a press conference. Would be super dope to have a former Bull as HC.
  12. This look away by Conkrite after answering the question says it all. Players are done with this, they know it runs deeper than it should. Man, that is tough.
  13. Dude just buy like two $5 ones at the Ray Jay box office and sit wherever the hell you want.
  14. What could’ve been...sigh. I remember in that game when he went for two for no reason and got it. Showed CWT-like swagger. What a shame.
  15. Nah man. Good HC hires really saved that program, first and foremost.
  16. Leavitt's peak was in 2007 - more than ten years ago. The game might have passed him by as well. Let's look to the future not to the past.
