  1. So awesome to see. USF gave me a chance in 2009 after being deferred and not accepted at other places, and now I'm getting a Ph.D. I am forever grateful to my alma mater.
  2. Are you sure the OCS has not been mostly an admin reaction to being left behind in realignment. I mean, Weatherford was really the first individual to mention the need for an OCS. I don’t undermine Kelly’s fundraising efforts, but is he really indispensable or could we not really hire someone else who could do the same politicking while not hiring awful coaches?
  3. Frost now has the same stink Charlie Strong had after failing at Texas. Just say ‘no’ to rethread coaches. Also “we already have a coaching staff.” lol hopefully not for long.
  4. I just completed this quiz. My Score 20/100 My Time 147 seconds
  5. Will Michael Kelly be responsible enough to admit that BOTH of his hires has been dismal failures and have the guts enough fire them? Based on the unwarranted extensions to both, it seems unlikely. He probably will hitch his wagon to failure rather than admit his mistakes. I'm still hoping Weatherford and the BOT realize the issues regarding both these coaches and the administrator who paid them millions to fail.
  6. Ton of transfers - so has every team. New coordinators - if we give this a pass, he can just hire new coordinators every year and get an infinite pass. No winning tradition - Taggart proved you can build a winning team at USF in three years and you don’t even have to be a competent HC. Let CJS run his course - the guy is a terrible HC. We need a new direction now. He has had 3 years and has proven to be terrible at his job.
  7. A 22pt win…against a team that is 0-2 in the FCS. Yes, there is major cause for concern. We were losing for a good amount of the game. And CJS dances in the locker room?? Ooooof.
  8. We will win tonight. But we will still be a mediocre AAC team. This is CJS’s third year and it is still a joke. It’s not that would should be world beaters, but we should definitely be more organized than this. We are a large university playing D1 football in one of the best cities in the United States. Taggart and Scott Frost proved that just being a good recruiter will allow you to out-athleticm your opponents in this conference. Now imagine having a competent HC ala Luke Fickell. Instead we are stuck with Skip Holtz 2.0 on steroids. What will be done eventually, must be done immediately. Let’s please hire someone new, that WILL and is capable of taking us to a conference championship level.
  9. Unrelated, but NOW is the time to buy NVDA stock for sure. Massive dip and it should stabilize at around $180. NFA.
  10. Lol, smazza just wants to watch the world (TheBullsPen) burn with this thread. We'll win, but I guarantee Scott won't want to blow them out out of respect for Larry Scott or something like that. Those hoping to see us 'not call off the dogs' might be disappointed. I do miss Taggart's emphasis on stepping on people's throats no matter the score/opponent and going for it on 4th downs and stuff even up big.
  11. I could understand the Offensive Coordinator being in the booth if you run a slow offense or one that looks at the sideline for adjustments before the snap, like the one we ran with Grothe. But I don't get a Defensive Coordinator being in the booth. The defense is susceptible to whatever the opposing offense is running, so calls on defense have a small amount of time to adjust to the opponent's offense. Wouldn't you want the D coach on the sideline to make split second adjustments if needed to avoid things like what we saw against BYU?
  12. Following the pattern of teams like UCF and Cincy who got their act together after some losing years, it should go like this: 2023 - Will be a rebuilding year under a new HC so expect a lot of losses 2024 - We'll hopefully be flirting with .500 if the new HC is competent 2025 - We'll hopefully go bowling 2026 - Everything will hopefully be clicking, and we will compete for conference title. (This would be an awesome scenario for our first year in the OCS). If 2026 is then our potential first year being a solid football team, I wouldn't expect us to be in a major conference yet. But there is always hope. We definitely would need to hit the reset button and cut the dead weight sooner rather than later.
  13. If that was Jeff Scott’s first head coaching game at USF, that performance would’ve been excusable - ala Willie T. But three years in… Say what you want about our fanbase going apeshit, but I also think we’re also the only fanbase that actually cut that performance on Saturday some slack. Look at Jeff Traylot at UT San Antonio; incredibly similar circumstances to CJS (Covid, “small-time program”, etc.) and now he’s the most coveted coach in CFB. All I’m saying is, there is a head coach out there that can make us respectable, and his it isn’t Jeff Scott.
  14. No way. Our defense couldn't get set, players looked confused, we were unable to stop their run and the offense couldn't move the ball. The players were so unorganized on defense it was borderline comical. Going up 7 would've been nice, but no way the final score would've been way different from what we saw Saturday night no matter what. How do the clowns in Oviedo go winless one year and then undefeated two years later, but yet we aren't to expect at least a competitive team - or hell, at least one that can get play calls onto the field - three years into a coaching regime? We should refuse to believe that their program is that much superior to us, and we are to expect less than them. At some point we gotta ask where the buck stops, and based on the lack of preparation on the simplest things, the answer seems pretty clear.
  15. Actually, his first statement was that he felt the tape showed that the performance wasn't as bad as it seemed on the field. Then he went on to reference anecdotes regarding his time at Clemson and Coach Swinney. Good times were had by all.
  16. Left down 28 midway through the 1st Quarter. Normally I stay down big just in case but I couldn’t bare to watch what was going on. Have tix to the UF game as a current UF Ph.D student but now actively trying to sell them. Now contemplating just dropping USF and becoming a Gators fan which is incredibly saddening at a personal level. But, I can’t support this administration until change occurs at the AD and HC level. If something is broken then it needs fixing, not settling for mediocrity. I love USF but why waste time and money on recurring yearly disappointment?
