  1. So our best LB, our third best LB, and our best pass coverage DB are all out? Oof, hammer the over.
  2. I don't know, I don't think I'll ever look back at USF football 2018-2022 and laugh.
  3. Crazy what not totally overhauling a working system does for success, right? Scott Frost laid his UCFast foundation after a rough first season and goes undefeated. Then instead of hiring a defensive-minded coach who would totally want to 'slow the offense down' from scoring too fast and totally destroy his predecessor's foundation, they hire Heupel whose system also runs a fast-paced no huddle offense to decent success (what a crazy concept!), and finally move on to Malzahn whose offense is also known for its no-huddle RPO scheme. And holy crap, it worked. Now imagine if they had hired Charlie F'ing Strong after Frost... If only we had kept the GCO mentality going. FL players are fast and athletic, they thrive in such systems. But alas, here we are. Moral of the story: if it ain't broke...
  4. 1) Tulane - THIS WILL BE OUR FINAL LOSS OF THE YEAR !!! 2) 35-30 3) Battie 4) Weaver 5) 350
  5. Hey man, don't feed the trolls. Sounds like you are about to have a breakdown cause people here hate CJS. Not worth it...
  6. A lot of emotion around the 13:25 mark. Man, wish we could just close out these games. Say what you want but there is a clear difference between CJS and CCS, and just the attitude regarding the progress of the program. Cmon coach, let’s get some wins now. - INB4 quote reply that mentions how much CJS sucks etc.
  7. We currently have amazing talent on offense. Battie and Horn (and this o-line) might be some of the most naturally gifted offensive players to have put on a USF jersey. If only we had a 3rd down defense or just tackling defensive talent in the secondary, this team would not be that big of a joke. I am rooting for CJS to find a way to motivate the defense to play beyond their capabilities, it actually would be a shame to lose all these offensive players to transferring if we end up firing him at the end of this season.
  8. 4 more? Let’s first get 4 overall in the CJS tenure.
  9. We are “talent on the defense” away from being a respectable team.
  10. We would probably be a respectable team if we had any smidge of tackling talent in our secondary.
  11. Fantastic start. Our players seem to get up to playing in front of big crowds. That tends to be the case for a lot of players from the state of Florida. Might be why we played so well at the Swamp and right now compared to how we look playing at Ray Jay.
  12. Battie is so nice. Might actually be worth keeping CJS if it means he doesn't transfer. What a stud.
  13. Weird there hasn’t been (or at least we haven’t heard of) some sort of “players only” meeting happening or something along those lines. Players must be aware of the circumstances and, well, if they committed to play for CJS then they gotta get their **** together or hold each other accountable or CJS is fired. Didn’t something like that happen before the Syracuse game when CWT was on the ropes? It might have worked, and if players were willing to do that for their coach it showed they actually gave a **** about the man’s job. It’s probably time to pull out all the stops at this point.
  14. Our defense is just too untalented. I knew the DBs were inexperienced, but geeeez. The only team with match up with talent level wise is Temple, and winning in Philly is not something we do. Can't see CJS surviving the end of this season.
  15. This was interesting: ”The other was San Jose State’s Brent Brennan, who started 4-22 and lost his debut to Charlie Strong’s Bulls. Brennan earned national coach of the year honors in 2020 after leading the Spartans to the Mountain West title. He’s 15-9 over the last three seasons.”
  16. Interesting debate. Would you rather beat Notre Dame and finish the season 5-7, or go 11-2 and end the season ranked with a win over SC in a bowl?
  17. Quinton Flowers was able to make some noise in the CFB world. Not to mentioned helped finish the season ranked for the first time in school history after beating an SEC team in a bowl. But yeah, nothing after him.
