  2. They say to get on the bus... Looks more like a train to me, but what the heck, I'm on board!
  3. AC needs to coach up McClendon and Allen while sitting due to his knee. Help them calm down and see the court better. He could help them A LOT if they would listen to him regarding knowing when to push and when to settle down. AC is great at knowing when to slow just a touch and let his big men get down the court. So many times he settles for a second or two, then that gives Rudd or Egbunu time to get down low, but the defense is still getting their match ups set. That leaves a lot of lobs and mismatches. These two guys running the point with him out look for the fast break or else pull out and set up the offense. They need that vision to identify when a defense is out of set and then need to exploit what they see. AC could do that and do it well. Without him we are not nearly as good. Even when he is only about 60% of last year or the year before.
  4. I was thinking about wearing a white USF polo with khakis to work next Monday. What do you guys think? If I post pics would you mind telling me if I'm cool? Sorry, I like the fashion blog going here. I think we should really take this up a notch. Maybe start our own sketch up competition. We could sew them up and have a show. Each man models his own ideas, then record it and send it to the team as a motivational video on how important they are to us. Not just the talent and abilities, but their overall look. I know this is stupid, but I made myself laugh, and that is all I can hope for on a Friday evening in the middle of my first beer.
  5. Well it was just another poor performance by the head coach who got lucky on that last play where we saw one of the worse coaching jobs in basketball history. You know FGCU needed a tip in at the basket and who do you have guarding against that? No other then 6ft tall and 150lbs Corey Allen, yet Egbunu is on the floor. The PG situation is killing USF as we struggle on offense and get abused on defense by every PG we play. A controversial win against a fairly weak opponent that is missing one of their top players just doesn't set well with me. The crowd reaction at the end of the game was telling as it just felt like we escaped against an inferior opponent talent wise, but obviously not in heart and coaching. Where's the controversy? I really hope you're not talking about the "tap in". The only thing controversial about that game was the officiating during the other 39:59.7. The officiating wasn't the reason why USF almost lost to a weak opponent in their building. Were there missed calls? Sure it was, but both teams had complaints throughout the game. The Bulls just didn't play at the level you need to and should expect when facing a fairly weak opponent on their home floor. FGCU is a former NCAAT Cinderella darling, surely USF would have wanted to make a strong statement with a good showing on National TV. How good to you think USF should be? Three wins in a row and the team is showing some resolve and confidence and all you do is **** on them. I mean I don't get your expectations. This is tied for the best 9 game start in the last 12 years and to read your posts one would think we are the USF football of college basketball!
  6. So, a lot of talk about Taggart rebuilding. So, what does it take next year to say he is successful? What happens if we are 3 - 9? I think if Tag can't get this team to a bowl game next year he likely won't be effective here. The good news is that now we get to recruit against UCF as they tout their BCS bowl appearance. That is sarcasm. I want to sell my 2013 season tickets...
  7. People tend to forget the last 3 games of spread offense without BJ last year. The scheme didn't matter. The offense lacked the talent and leadership (QB) to excel in any system. Throw this season completely out. Judge Tags first year solely on his recruiting class ranking. If he's not pulling in recruits, what he was primarily hired for, then he's not going to be effective. As of now he's got a pretty solid recruiting class given on-field results, but there's a lot of time for things to change in either direction between now and signing day. He needs a solid class and to show signs of on field improvement next season. I'll throw this season out, but only because we have to...otherwise the whole house would smell like poop.
  8. I don't believe that USF gets revenue from concessions or parking, so: Free tickets = $0 and PISSED SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
  9. So, after the year we have had I have no doubt that some players are disgruntled. I suspect some even blame the coach. I mean out of 100 players on a team that quite honestly failed in all respects this year (hurts but true) you can bet some will not react with respect to the leadership. They will learn that they aren't exactly prime transfer material for FSU and that even UF doesn't want them. At that point they will either start helping or go play at division 2 schools. Either way, it will work itself out. As long as he has 75% of the team bought in he can replace the weeds.
  10. Anyone know if this works on Android phones? I can't seem to get anything except ads.
  11. Wow. If we played as hard s some of you judge others we'd be national champs. Just root for our team and quit redirecting your frustration on other fans!
  12. This team looked as good as last year's team and Collins was on the bench. That is a very good sign. Collins will shoot ALOT of free throws this year with the new rules. His speed and first step got him beat to death last year and it looks like he is going to get those calls this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see 20 free throws per game for him. If he shoots them well like last year this team can hang with almost anyone. He will elevate the play of everyone else and they already look as good as last year... I suspect post season play if everyone stays healthy. Maybe dancing but probably NIT.
  13. 15% odds are very high. In order to have a 15% chance to win out if all games were equal we would have to have 73% odds of winning every game left on our schedule. I don't think we are 73% favorites in every remaining game. Hell I don't think we are favorites in any remaining game until we win one.
  14. Love 7 pm kicks. Especially this time of year. Going to be good times in lot 14!

  16. Ridiculous thinking. I always hear this. That's like saying because the Patriots got the luck of the tuck rule, and that the pushing penalty a couple weeks ago was evening things out. Tell that to a Raiders fan who missed out on a Super Bowl. We still haven't gotten retribution for illegal forward propulsion. Or maybe by this logic a missed holding penalty against Charleston Southern a couple years later evened that out? Completly disagree. It may not be one big call but it can be the culmination of a lot of smaller calls. There are plenty of holding call we never see. I know for a fact there have been pass interference calls against us this year that have not been called. True, you may not the same stage or point if the game, but the calls themselves do even out. I tend the agree that bad calls wash out. The thing is that like you said sometimes penalties don't get called and in the last 8 minutes of a one score game refs shouldn't make questionable calls. Let the players decide the outcome unless it's blatant.
  17. I also liked the effort on offense. These guys believe in this kid. Kloss kicks balls like nobody's business. Did I mention tackling was horrible?
  18. USF just annexed that part of Tampa-- so technically..... Genius! If you can't build on campus...make the stadium part of campus!
  19. Are you nuts!? The whole purpose of this board is to wrap our arms firmly around any rumor, conjecture, bright golden ray of sunshine or outright hyperbole when it comes to football. Perspective? No way...having torn down that forty-foot statue of CWT - since he didn't immediately propel the team to an undefeated season his first year, I think we should put up a forty foot statue of Mike White, the savior of USF football. Until he has a crappy game, then we'll just resort to slings and arrows (as we always do). It's what we do best. That's not all we do. Some sarcastically mock everyone else. BTW, would you like to hop on this ray of sunshine with me and revamp your four win prognostication? Oh, and I'm driving my ray of sunshine for two weeks, so if you want to hop on, you'll be riding biatch! Dean-- I think this guy just asked you to the dance I don't want to dance with him, just invite him to enjoy the ride until we smash into another wall. However, I suspect based upon the hair and beard, that he is quite the dancer!

  21. Heck yeah, and Aaron Lynch is serving him drinks and rubbing his feet!
  22. I'd have to add a goat... Tackling was atrocious!
  23. Wait, you just told us what would happen if we win out in a different thread (smazza's double down). So, I am surprised that you didn't already know that we will anoint him the best QB in college football. I suspect someone out there has already scraped off their GROTHE > TEBOW or GROTHE 4 HEISMAN stickers and have WHITE > WINSTON on the old ink jet right now!
  24. Yeah, I'm with you to a point. But onsides kicks are a gamble with potential risk and reward and I'd rather pay the risk for a decision made by our own than watch the neutral team helping make the game remain fair take points away on what was a questionable call.
