  1. Omg that would be brilliant. We can't lose in a hurricane. I hope all of you folks back in my old stompin' grounds stay safe but the silver lining might be an unscheduled bye.
  2. Yikes. Bad throws to receivers who don't run the right routes and can't catch is not a formula for success on offense. Used to be you had to run to set up the throws. Now you have to throw to set up the running game.
  3. I'm really at a loss as to what kind of coach could turn this around.
  4. I don't want an apology. I just want to see some improvement that results in some wins. Right now, all I see is futility, frustration and ultimate failure.
  5. Not trying to bash you, but what realistically how do you see that happening? This team is trash I said 3 wins at the beginning of the season but now I think that may have been wildly optimistic.
  6. I was just reminiscing about that 2005 game. At the start the Cardinal mascot came running out with the team and immediately face planted. I laughed heartily and saw it as a good omen for the game, which it proved to be.
  7. Isn't moving forward what makes it a passing game? Otherwise, it would be called a lateral game. But seriously, of course I would like to cut down on some of the overthrows, missed routes, drops and interceptions. I think that about sums it up for the passing game.
  8. Touche. But I've been repeatedly assured its not the size that counts, but how you use it.
  9. There should be a Lee Roy statue at OU, USF. Ray Jay and downtown Tampa as well. He was that good of a person and had that much impact in so many ways.
  10. I love how these articles almost invariably refer to USF as being one of the "smaller schools" when, of course, it's quite the opposite. Now if they are referring to the size of our players...
  11. Our record is 0-0? I'm not sure this kind of recordkeeping will help our business model succeed. Unless, of course, there is a second set of books.
  12. Was that meant to be a compliment or an insult? Or did he just want you to help someone choking?
  13. This will be ready for when we are practicing during the harsh winter for our Bowl Game Looks first rate. Hopefully this will be a boon for multiple Bulls sports.
  14. On the bright side, I'm sure we got all the bad calls against us out of our system for the rest of year and we won't have to worry about the refs ever again.
  15. I was pleasantly surprised by the defensive performance. Gotta contain Cunningham this week and that is a real challenge.
  16. When I was an editor at the Oracle sports reporting was not the top draft pick for aspiring journalists. Of course, we didn't have a football team then. And with the decline of newspapers generally, not likely to find another Grantland Rice out there.
  17. I tried using this function at home. Worked for my wife but not for me.
  18. One more positive of living in the heart of ACC territory.
  19. I think with the right mix of Mangham, Dukes and Bohanon and a HEAVY serving of Battie, this could be a recipe for success.
  20. This exactly. Like the stock market (or life in general) the path success or failure is not usually quick or in a straight line. I remember back when we first started our football program, I had friends who seriously were saying we would win a National Championship within 10 years. I reminded them it just doesn't work that way (even if you claim it yourself a la UCF). Some folks get overly hyped at the first sign of success and some get overly discouraged at the first inkling of failure. It's human nature that we have to constantly battle in order to remain somewhat sane and moving forward.
