  1. Or Courtney Denson Or Steven Bench Or Cade Fortin Or Noah Johnson . . .
  2. So Texas is going on year 9 of the Charlie Strong effect - this does not bode well for us, since we are only in year 6
  3. What this post means is that SMU was 40 years ahead of its time - imagine what that group of boosters could do today
  4. IDK - definitely some pre-qualifiers that you would need to get answered to make sure that Musk aligns with TBP, like: 1) Should Q try out for the CFL 2) What is his stance on Publix Subs 3) Does he believe Illegal Forward Propulsion was created just to hose USF 4) What are his top five derogatory nick names for Charlie Strong 5) Should War Flamingo be allowed at football games - why or why not 6) Is the Wizard just a gimmick I am sure that these are just the tip of the iceberg
  5. To be fair, most of the consistency related to 0 draft picks did come from Chuckles
  6. Nice - two touchdowns, a field goal and a safety against UC, not too shabby I wonder if CJS saw the game and took some notes?
  7. Why are you throwing shade at Kentucky and Vanderbilt?
  8. Considering that this thread has amassed 2291 pages over 9.5 years, that is an average of 241 pages per year Statistically speaking, your post will be buried by 1241 pages of stellar TBP discourse in 5 years
  9. Based on how VPMK has handled MBB, my guess is that CJS could go 0-12 and still return for 2023 Personally, I agree with the majority of the board - 6-6 is the bare minimum for 2022 and failing that, USF should look for someone else
  10. Nice lifeline for baseball, I’ll take it! Could you extend this a little to Scott - the 3-18 record is a false front and CJS has been holding the team back for a monster 15-0 run this season, all the way to the national championship
  11. 1. Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle which holds it? Because glue is governed by the same property that states that it must gum up the cap and refuse to come out of the bottle after the first use. In other words, it is the feline version of the adhesive world 2. If you stand behind a clock, is it still going clockwise? irrelevant question, since all clocks are digital and do not move anyway 3. Why do we have four silent letters in the word "Queue"? Agree with @CousinRicky - Quentin Flowers has the trademark on Q and the line version spelling had to adjust 4. Why do sleeping pills come with a warning that reads "Caution: May Cause Drowsiness"? So that young adults do not confuse them with some sort of aphrodisiac 5. Which orange came first - the fruit or the color? Yes
  12. Thx - I just looked up 2021. I was out of town for the game, so I did not realize it was at Ray Jay
  13. Spring games are tough for running quarterbacks, since they are whistled dead the moment that they are touched, whereas in a real game, they would extend the play and make something happen Since mobility is a major part of Timmy’s game, it is hard to judge much from this performance I do think that Marsh looked better than McClain today - hopefully CJS comes out of the Spring with a clear #1, so that they can spend summer camp dialing in the offense
  14. McClain is back in to start the 4th - both white and green have now attempted a half back option pass TD white on a 10 yard pass from McClain
  15. White scores on a 1 yard run to make it 14-10 McClain was not in the game and white started on the green 20 - all runs
  16. Marsh led a pretty nice scoring drive prior to the half - 90+ yards and 7+ minutes
  17. Just got to the stadium - can not remember when we last had a spring game at Ray Jay (maybe 2012)? Pretty good crowd - most of the home sideline is filled - better than I remember from when we had the games here. Maybe 8k?
  18. Well, he did win 3 games after the extension was announced on Jan 5, so logically, if MK did 7 more extensions of CBG’s contract, we might have a 20 win season
  19. I am surprised Josh Julmiste is on the Gold Roster - wasn’t he kicked off the team for violating team rules?
  20. Begging your pardon, I believe CBG stated he is running a Princeton Offense (I have neither the link nor the citation) I do however agree on all of your points - on most offensive sets this past season, our players tended to run in ineffective circles, looking more like the Harlem Globetrotter’s three man weave as opposed to some sort of offense that could score points
  21. The Princeton Variant of the motion offense (like all basic motion offenses) is designed to address this very issue. If executed properly, the team should be getting layups and easy jump shots The fact that the team is struggling running CBG’s chosen offense points back to one thing - coaching A motion offense is easy to understand and run at the youth level, where players are mostly unselfish. It is quite challenging to run at the collegiate level, where players want to show off for ESPN and the NBA The funny thing is that when motion is run properly (at any level of basketball) it is almost impossible to defend - the fact that CBG and his staff can not get it to work speaks volumes about their ability to select and coach players within their chosen offensive system
  22. Unfortunately, Gregory is trying to run a Princeton Style Motion Offense. A create your own shot guy generally does not fit in that offensive philosophy and Gregory has not really done anything to tailor the offense for Murphy’s game (or seemingly coach Murphy to fit in the offense) As such, this is probably not a loss at this point, since he was not being used effectively anyway
